The third in a series of biennial international conferences on Internet Technologies and Applications (ITA 09), was held in Wrexham, North East Wales, UK from Tuesday 8th to Friday 11th September 2009.
The conference drew together researchers and developers from academia and industry across all fields of Internet computing and engineering. All accepted papers were published in the conference proceedings (ITA 05 proceedings and ITA07 proceedings). There was an award for 'best paper' and selected papers will be included in a book published by Brown Walker Press (http://www.brownwalker.com).
In addition to a full technical programme, including keynote presentations, papers, posters, tutorials and special sessions, the social itinerary included a visit to the historic English city of Chester and a mediaeval Welsh banquet at Ruthin Castle.
ITA 09 also hosted the First International Workshop on Web and Semantic Technology (WeST-2009) and the First International Workshop on Wireless Multimedia Networking and Applications (WMNA’09).
ITA 09 is also sponsored by the Chester and North Wales branch of the British Computer Society (BCS) and supported by the Wales North branch of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), British Telecom iNet (BT iNet) and IT Wales.
